1 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
pinch of salt
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1. Half fill a greased dish (2 quart casserole) with chopped apples.
2. Mix sugar, flour, spice, salt and butter with hands until it is the consistency of coarse cornmeal.
3. Put on top of apples.
4. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes or until brown on top. Serve with ice cream.
